San Antonio Man Arrested for Alleged Racist Attack Plot

Nathan James Henderson, a 39-year-old San Antonio man, has been arrested after local authorities uncovered a cache of weapons and explosives at his North Bexar County residence.

Following a tip from a family member, law enforcement discovered that Henderson harbored extremist views, allegedly targeting Black and Jewish communities, and admired known hate-crime suspects.

On July 11, a joint task force including the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, ATF, and San Antonio Police conducted a search on Oracle Drive, seizing numerous firearms, ammunition, and 24 inert grenades, some partially modified for explosive experimentation.

Investigators also found notebooks filled with white supremacist ideology and vague plots against public venues.

Henderson faces charges under Texas’s new terrorism law, a first for the county, and could face up to life in prison.

Officials urge vigilance and thank their partners for averting a potential tragedy.

Devastating Floods Ravage Texas Hill Country, Leaving Over 100 Dead

Catastrophic flash floods devastated Texas Hill Country in the early hours of July 4, 2025, as the Guadalupe River surged more than 26 feet in under an hour, cresting at a record 37.52 feet by sunrise.

Entire communities were inundated, resulting in the tragic loss of over 100 lives, including 60 adults and 36 children in Kerr County alone.

Camp Mystic, a cherished Christian summer camp near Hunt, was among the hardest-hit—27 campers and counselors died, transforming the former haven into a somber memorial.

Overnight rainfall of 10 to 12 inches caught residents and visitors off guard, overwhelming emergency responders who rescued more than 850 people, with 167 airlifted to safety.

With more than 160 still missing, a massive search continues involving over 2,100 first responders from across ten states.

Volunteers, vigils, and mounting concern about flood warning systems have brought the community together, as leaders call for improved preparations and federal aid.

Despite grief, the resilient spirit of Texas Hill Country endures as recovery begins and leaders work to safeguard the region’s future.
